Introduction
Apple was invented on April 1st, 1976, in Los Altos, CA by college dropouts Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne who brought a new vision of changing the way people viewed computers. Jobs, Wozniak, and Wayne’s main goal was to make computers small enough for people to have them at home and in offices. Steve Jobs was an American entrepreneur, industrial designer, business magnate, and investor. Steve Wozniak is an American electronic engineer, computer programmer, magnate, and investor. Steve Wozniak is an American electronic engineer, computer programmer, technology entrepreneur, and inventor. Ronald Wayne is a retired American electronic business owner. Apple first started with computers. The company started in Steve Jobs’s garage where they began building Apple 1. After improving computers and introducing iPhone, in 2005 the first generation of Apple TV and the remote control was introduced. Throughout the year Apple TV had six generations and four generations of remote controllers as shown in figure 1.

The Apple remote control was initially dedicated to Mac computers and bundled with the iMac. In 2007 Apple added that remote to the original Apple TV as a pointing device. It was designed to control the front-row media center program, allowing users to browse, play music, view videos, and browse photos. In 2009 the new generation of Apple Remote control was redesigned and was thinner and longer. In 2015, the 3rd generation of Apple Remote control was introduced as the Siri Remote. Siri Remote was equipped with dual microphones for spoken inputs for Siri and text entry but the remote was discontinued in 2021. In April 2021 the fourth and current generation was introduced as the Siri remote 2 with better improvements.
Exterior Components
The Siri Remote control 2 comes in two different colors. A grey base with black features as seen in figure 1 above and a black base with white highlights on the buttons as shown in figure 2 below. This is the most popular Apple Remote control as the exterior components are user-friendly. On top of the remote is a microphone for Siri, allowing users to dictate texts in
search boxes and text entry fields using their voice. This is a lot faster than entering text using an on-screen keyboard. For the microphone to work there is a Siri button on the side of the remote. The Siri button allows the user to say what they want to open and where they want to go. Next to the microphone is the power button. The power button is used to turn on the TV and wake up the Apple TV. Pressing and holding also turns off your TV and puts your Apple TV to sleep. Under the microphone and power button is the touch-enabled click pad. Touch-enabled click board is used to navigate menus by pressing up, down, left, and right. It is also used to fast-forward and rewind videos. Under the Touch-enabled click board, there is a back button that allows users to easily go back to the previous screen or straight Home Screen. To go back straight to the Home Screen, you need to press and hold the back button while to go back to the previous screen you only need to press the back button. TV/Home button. The TV/Home button takes users to the next app on the Apple TV app and pressing twice takes them back to Home Screen. However, change this setting so that pressing once will directly take them to Home Screen. Underneath the TV/Home button is the volume button which allows users to lower and raise the volume. Next to the volume button are the Play/Pause button and the Mute button. The play/Pause button allows users to pause and play videos at any time. The mute button allows users to completely turn down the volume with one click. The exterior of the Siri Remote control gives users full control over their TV.
Interior Components
The aluminum, there is a logic board taking up the top half of the remote and the lower half is the battery. The logic board is the main printed circuit board inside the remote control. It allows and holds communication between many of the crucial electronic components of a system. In the Siri remote control 2, the logic board is the home to the touch screen controller. In the logic board, there is the CSR 1010 Bluetooth radio and microelectronic ultralow power. The CSR 1010 Bluetooth radio “supports ultra-low-power connectivity and basic data transfer for applications”. (Mr. Ollie, 2022). The microelectronic ultralow power “uses ultra-low-leakage process technology with an innovative autonomous dynamic voltage scaling and 5 low-power modes offering an unprecedented platform to fit any application.” (Mouser, 2015). The battery, shown in figure 4, is a CR2032 battery, 1.52-watt hour, and an internal battery that cannot be replaced as it is rechargeable with a USB-C charging cable. The remote lasts up to 3 months on a single charge.

How to use Siri Remote 2?
First users must make sure their Apple TV is connected and working, stand close to the Apple Tv and make sure the distance from the remote to Apple TV is clear, press the OFF/ON button for a few seconds, and a symbol should show up to ensure the remote is connected to the TV.
How to fix any problems?
If the Apple Tv remote is not working users are suggested to charge Siri remote 2 for 30 minutes using a USB cable and USB wall charger. Unplug your Apple Tv from the wall outlet and wait 6 seconds before plugging it back in. If the remote is still not working users should press and hold the TV control center button for 5 seconds until it is turned off and then turn it on again. After turning it on wait 5-10 seconds until a connection lost notification appears on the screen. Restart and reconnect the remote, a notification should appear after connection.
